There is no way to configure gutter size explicitly, but there is one setting may affeact it.

'Settings'->'Advanced Settings'->'Editor'->'Left margin in distraction free model:' if it is -1, this value will cause gutter size may be recalculated, showing a big gap in the editor; so change it back to 0, then the gutter size become normal.
